The Artisan 26 inch natural gas grill is built by the same professionals as well as on the same machines as the Alfresco gas grill line. It has large gauge stainless steel cooking grates, which are easy to clean and provide definitive grill marks. To help eliminate hot spots, ceramic briquettes are used to distribute the heat evenly across the entire cooking area. The heat is provided by two 20,000 BTU U-burners, totaling 40,000 BTUs for the entire grill. The burners are made of stainless steel, and they will last much longer than burners made from cheaper materials. The exterior of the grill is just as impressive, the air curtain chimney design helps keep the burner control knobs cool even when the lid is closed. Using the heat resistant wire ensures the 9v electronic ignition system will remain reliable. The chassis and double skin hood are constructed of 300 series stainless steel, which makes it super durable and easy to clean. The bull nose is embossed with the Artisan logo and the spring assist hood comes with a built in thermometer.

This grill has an optional infrared sear burner which easily swaps with the standard U-burner and puts out 27,500 BTUs and reaches 1,500 degrees which allows you to lock in all of the juices and flavor far better than a conventional burner. The optional free-standing cart includes a slide out tray which will hold a 20 lb propane tank. Installation of this grill into a combustible enclosure requires the use of an insulated jacket to reduce the risk of fire.
